Tom's Verdict
💜 Sometimes a game doesn't need complex mechanics, an epic story or dozens of hours of content to be enjoyable. 100 Hidden Cats knows exactly what it is from the moment you launch it. There are 100 cats hidden within a detailed scene and your job is simply to find them all. It's a straightforward concept, but one that works surprisingly well if you enjoy hidden object games.
🐱 One thing I particularly appreciated was that the game doesn't constantly point you in the right direction. There are no hints, no clues and no systems designed to hold your hand. Every cat you find comes from your own observation and patience, which makes completing the scene feel much more satisfying than simply following prompts from the game.
☕ At the price I paid, I genuinely think this is excellent value for money. The whole experience lasted around fifteen minutes, but so would a takeaway coffee that costs considerably more. The difference is that once the coffee is gone, it's gone. Here, I finished with a completed game, a 100% achievement and the satisfaction of finding every cat. If you enjoy hidden object games, I would happily recommend both this game and the wider series.
