Tom's Verdict
👍 Worth A Look
Agrivore understands one of the fundamental rules of a good incremental game: if you're going to make me repeat something, make sure I can feel myself getting better at it. Harvesting that initially feels fairly modest gradually becomes faster and more productive, the skill tree keeps offering another improvement to chase, and prestiging gives you a reason to build yourself back up and do it all again.
🌾 Some of the harvesting tools are particularly satisfying once you've improved them. There were moments where I was tearing through resources at a ridiculous pace and getting exactly the sort of incremental dopamine hit I came here for. Numbers went up. My brain liked it. Naturally, I wanted the numbers to go up even more.
🔄 The prestige system also worked well for me. There is quite a lot of prestiging throughout the game, but I rarely minded resetting because I could feel the benefit when starting again. That constant cycle of improving, resetting and then racing through things that had previously taken considerably longer kept me interested right through to the end.
🐌 It isn't completely even, though. Some harvesting tools feel considerably slower and less enjoyable than others, and moving from something wonderfully fast and chaotic to something more sluggish could take some of the momentum out of the experience. It never stopped me progressing, but there were definitely parts of the journey I enjoyed considerably more than others.
💷 My other reservation is the price. I bought Agrivore in a sale and I'm perfectly happy with the entertainment I received for what I paid. At its normal asking price, however, I think what's here feels a little expensive. That's especially worth considering when the complete journey took me just under ten hours, even though I enjoyed those hours enough to reach 100% completion.
🏆 And ultimately, that completion probably says plenty. My original video only followed Agrivore as far as my first prestige, but I carried on playing afterwards until there was simply nothing left for me to complete. This isn't an incremental game doing something revolutionary, but its progression loop worked well enough to keep me harvesting, upgrading and prestiging for almost ten hours.
For me, Agrivore earns a 👍 Worth A Look, particularly if you can pick it up in a sale.

Why I Liked This Game
- ✅ 🌾 Satisfying Harvesting - Watching your harvesting ability grow from relatively modest beginnings into something capable of tearing through resources provides a lovely sense of progression.
- ✅ 📈 Plenty Of Upgrades - The skill tree gives you a constant supply of improvements to work towards and plenty of reasons to keep those numbers moving upwards.
- ✅ 🔄 Rewarding Prestige System - Resetting rarely felt like losing progress because each prestige helped make the next journey faster and more productive.
- ✅ ⚡ Some Wonderfully Chaotic Tools - The faster harvesting methods are enormously satisfying once upgraded, letting you rip through resources at increasingly ridiculous speeds.
- ✅ 🏆 Kept Me Playing To 100% - What started as a video reaching my first prestige eventually became almost ten hours of play as I continued until I'd completed everything Agrivore had to offer.
What I Didn't Like In This Game
- ❌ 🐌 Uneven Harvesting Speeds - Some tools feel considerably slower than others, which can be particularly noticeable after you've become accustomed to one of the faster and more satisfying harvesting methods.
- ❌ 💷 Full Price Feels A Little Steep - I was happy with the value at the sale price I paid, but with the complete journey taking me just under ten hours, I'd find Agrivore harder to recommend at its normal asking price.
