Tom's Verdict
ðŋ Leafy Corner does an excellent job of balancing cosy gameplay with light management mechanics. Running a plant shop involves more than simply decorating the space, as you need to care for your plants, keep them healthy and ensure they are ready for customers to purchase. The result is a game that feels engaging without becoming stressful, offering just enough responsibility to keep you invested in your growing business.
ðŠī What stood out to me most was how many different systems work together to create a relaxing but rewarding experience. Customising the shop, choosing which plants to grow, matching pots and decorations, helping customers find the right plant and gradually expanding your collection all contribute towards making the shop feel uniquely your own. Even the customers who arrive with clues rather than specific requests add a fun educational element that encourages you to learn more about the plants you are selling.
ð The strongest recommendation I can give is that I deliberately stopped playing the demo while I was still having fun because I wanted to save more of the experience for the full release. I could easily have continued playing for several more hours, which is usually a very good sign. Aside from wishing there was an option to play as a male character, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Leafy Corner and will be looking forward to returning when the full game launches.

Why I Liked This Game
- The game strikes a nice balance between relaxation and light management, with just enough pressure to keep you engaged without feeling stressful.
- The amount of shop customisation is excellent, allowing you to personalise everything from wall and floor colours to furniture, pots and plant displays.
- Customers occasionally asking for plants based on clues adds a fun educational element and encourages you to learn more about the different plants available.
What I Didn't Like In This Game
- The demo offers a taster of what the full experience will offer, making it difficult not to want more immediately.
- Character customisation felt limited, and I would like to see the option to play as a male character added before the full release.
