About The Game

🌈 Rainbow Tower Defence takes a fresh approach to the tower defence genre by making the connections between towers your primary weapon. Rather than simply placing towers and letting them attack automatically, players must create coloured lines between towers to damage incoming enemies. With six different colours available, the way towers are positioned and connected becomes a key part of every strategy. The result is a tower defence game that feels familiar at first glance while introducing mechanics that are genuinely different from most games in the genre.

🔗 The game's central line system offers a surprising amount of strategic depth. Connecting towers of the same colour creates powerful dedicated lines, while combining different colours produces mixed lines with different strengths and weaknesses. Players can equip specialised line types with unique abilities, including effects that confuse enemies or deal area damage, allowing different approaches to each stage. As new enemy combinations appear, adapting your network of towers and lines becomes essential for survival.

🏰 Beyond building connections, players can rebuild towers with different colours, upgrade key defensive positions and strengthen the lines that form the heart of their defences. Tower upgrades improve attributes such as durability, connection capacity and line strength, encouraging careful planning and resource management. Combined with increasingly difficult enemy waves, Rainbow Tower Defence offers a strategic experience that rewards experimentation, quick decision-making and mastery of its unique mechanics.

Tom's Verdict

Rainbow Tower Defence immediately impressed me with how clearly it teaches its mechanics. The tutorials are easy to follow, the objectives are well explained and I never felt confused about what the game was asking me to do.

Once the action gets underway, however, the challenge level rises considerably. This is a game that rewards concentration and strategic thinking, and it's definitely not the sort of tower defence game you can play while only paying half attention to what's happening on screen.

Despite eventually reaching my first defeat, I came away wanting to play more and looking forward to the full release. The combination of unique mechanics, strong strategic gameplay and satisfying challenge makes this an easy recommendation for tower defence fans.
