About The Game

πŸ‰ Dragon Hop is a charming 3D platformer that puts you in the tiny claws of a dragon hatchling determined to climb ever higher through a colourful fantasy world. Along the way you'll leap across tricky obstacles, uncover hidden treasures and collect crystals that can be exchanged for new abilities and customisation options, rewarding both skill and curiosity.

πŸ”οΈ Reaching the top won't be easy. Every jump needs to be carefully judged, and one mistake can send you tumbling back down the mountain. Thankfully, the game also offers an Exploration Mode, allowing players who prefer a more relaxed experience to unlock checkpoints and enjoy the adventure without quite so much frustration.

✨ Beyond the platforming, there's plenty to discover for players willing to wander off the beaten path. Hidden caves, secret treasures, new dragon abilities and environmental interactions encourage exploration, while the bright visuals and lovable dragon protagonist give the whole adventure a warm, welcoming personality. Whether you're looking for a genuine precision platforming challenge or simply want to explore at your own pace, Dragon Hop offers a satisfying climb.

Tom's Verdict

Dragon Hop made a positive first impression on me, although my journey didn't quite go to plan. Before I could even start playing properly, I encountered a controller bug, and later managed to fall straight through the mountain after reaching around the 60-metre mark.

Thankfully, that's not where the story ends.

After reporting both issues to the developer, they responded incredibly quickly and released a patch within 24 hours to fix them. That kind of support always earns a lot of respect from me, because it shows the developer genuinely cares about improving the experience for players.

Once I was able to spend more time with the game, I found myself really enjoying it. The dragon's movement feels smooth and responsive, the customisation options are a lovely addition, and the challenge of climbing higher quickly becomes addictive. My own platforming skills may have resulted in more than a few spectacular falls, but every attempt left me wanting to jump straight back in.

With its attractive introductory price and a developer who clearly listens to feedback, Dragon Hop is an easy game to recommend. If this level of support continues, I think it's got every chance of becoming a favourite for fans of colourful 3D platformers.
