Tom's Verdict
๐ก๏ธ Goblin Buster is exactly the kind of game that appeals to me. It successfully combines two of my favourite genresโtower defence and incremental gamesโand the result is something that feels both familiar and surprisingly addictive. Rather than trying to force one genre to fit the other, it lets both shine equally well.
๐ The core gameplay is straightforward: build towers, defend against waves of goblins and watch your strategy unfold. What keeps you coming back, however, is the incremental progression. Defeated enemies provide resources that unlock permanent upgrades, encouraging you to replay levels, grow stronger and gradually overcome increasingly difficult challenges. It adds a satisfying sense of progression that traditional tower defence games don't always provide.
๐ฏ Having enjoyed Goblin Buster both at launch and again on a recent return, I can confidently say it has stood the test of time. If you're a fan of either tower defence or incremental games, there's a very good chance you'll enjoy this unique blend of the two. It's an easy game for me to recommend.
๐ Goblin Buster successfully blends classic tower defence with rewarding incremental progression, creating an experience that's both relaxing and strategically satisfying. If you enjoy either genre, this is well worth adding to your library.
