Tom's Verdict
🌸 Sometimes Simple Is Exactly What's Needed
Not every incremental game has to reinvent the genre, and Petal by Petal never tries to. Instead, it focuses on offering a gentle, relaxing experience where you can gradually unlock new flowers, automate your garden and simply enjoy watching everything grow.
There's something quite satisfying about that simplicity.
💧 It Doesn't Put a Foot Wrong
I kept waiting for something to frustrate me, but it never really happened. The progression feels steady, the automation arrives at a sensible pace and everything simply works as intended.
No bugs. No awkward mechanics. No moments where I found myself thinking, "I wish they'd done this differently."
💜 Easy to Recommend
Will it surprise veteran incremental players with brand new ideas? Probably not.
But that's okay.
It's reasonably priced, respects your time and delivers exactly the kind of relaxing couple of hours it promises. If you enjoy cosy incremental games, I don't think you'll come away disappointed.
