Tom's Verdict
Galaxy Grinder: Incremental is exactly the sort of game you expect it to be. You complete a run, invest your earnings into upgrades, unlock new abilities and planets, then head back out to see how much further you can get the next time around. It's a simple gameplay loop, but it's one that works well if you're a fan of incremental games.
It doesn't really try to reinvent the genre.
Instead, it focuses on delivering a straightforward experience that's easy to understand and satisfying to play. I also liked the addition of unlockable power-ups and the option to enable auto-aim, letting you either take a more active role or simply sit back and watch your upgraded ship do its thing.
The game is also fairly short. I reached 100% completion in just over two hours, but considering the low asking price, I never felt short-changed. Not every game needs to provide hundreds of hours of content, and Galaxy Grinder offers good value for what it sets out to do.
It's not a ground-breaking incremental game, nor does it introduce any major new ideas to the genre. However, if you're looking for a relaxing couple of hours with a satisfying upgrade loop at a budget-friendly price, it's definitely Worth a Look.
