About The Game

๐ŸŸ Fish Lab is a relaxing incremental game where your job is to collect, scan and research an ever-growing variety of fish inside a futuristic laboratory. What begins as a simple operation soon evolves into a satisfying cycle of discoveries, upgrades and expanding your research facility, all accompanied by an atmospheric soundtrack that's synchronised with the gameplay.

๐Ÿ”ฌ As you unlock new equipment and improve your lab, the number of fish being processed grows dramatically. Before long, the screen is filled with colourful swarms as your discoveries accelerate and your laboratory becomes increasingly efficient. Despite the numbers climbing rapidly, the game remains easy to follow and never feels overwhelming, making it the perfect title to relax with while still enjoying that addictive sense of progression.

๐ŸŽต One of Fish Lab's biggest strengths is its presentation. The clean interface, atmospheric visuals and music work together beautifully to create a polished scientific atmosphere, while the rhythm-inspired interactions keep you engaged instead of simply watching numbers increase. It's a simple concept executed with plenty of style, making the whole experience surprisingly satisfying from beginning to end.

Tom's Verdict

Fish Lab was one of those demos that quietly pulled me in. On the surface it looks like a straightforward incremental game, but before long I found myself chasing the next upgrade, unlocking new fish and watching my laboratory become more and more efficient. It has that addictive quality where there's always something new to work towards.

What really stood out to me, though, was just how polished everything felt.

The clean interface, atmospheric sound design and colourful visuals all come together beautifully, making the laboratory feel like a place you actually want to spend time in. As your upgrades begin to snowball and the screen fills with colourful fish, the game becomes surprisingly satisfying to watch. I also liked the rhythm-based interactions, which add a little more engagement than simply watching numbers tick upwards.

Perhaps the biggest compliment I can give the demo is that I never wanted to stop playing because I was bored.

Instead, I stopped because the demo had reached its end. I didn't encounter any bugs or technical issues during my playthrough, and by the time it finished I was already looking forward to seeing what the full game has in store. If it continues to build on these solid foundations, I think Fish Lab could become a really enjoyable addition to the incremental genre.
